Our History

I am Orlando Boccacci and
I would like to share with all of you the story of my family.

My father Luciano Boccacci was born in the 1950s and already from a very young age he found himself playing at the feet of a watchmaker’s desk in a countryside house.

It’s from there that the story began, as that desk was the desk of my grandfather, Luigi Boccacci, who had originally learnt the art from the family of his wife Giuseppina Ferri.

My grandmother was in fact the daughter of watchmakers who brought this noble art into Italy from Switzerland .. Art, yes, that is how I like to call it.

In those years things were very different from now: my grandfather used to perform the job at the local weekly markets around the Roman Sabina area with his small portable desk, just as other artisans used to do at the time.

This way, he would fetch small watch repair jobs that he could do at home in his private laboratory room so that in the space of a week he could bring back the fixed items to the various markets and to all the people who had placed so much trust into him. My father, who by then was already a young boy, would always follow him and he thus learnt about the all important values such as honesty, reliability and professional attitude both in the work and the everyday life.

Later on, in 1978, my father and my mother Virginia Filippi founded Gioielleria Boccacci that still, after more that 40 years in business, fosters and treasures the noble art of watches.

In fact, in the early 2000s, my father Luciano began to develop some kind of obsession: to itemize and list all of the watch parts for his repairs. This turned into a very ambitious project: to create the most comprehensive and varied supply of watch replacement parts..in all effects, the biggest possible at the time.

With his premature death and his very same passion from young age, I found myself carrying on this great ambitious project with a desire to make it reality.

We therefore created the biggest E-commerce spare parts business available in the sector under the brand name Boccacci.

The website is under continuous evolution, always striving to offer spare parts and replacements for watches at a 360° perspective, starting from the most inexpensive brands to the most luxurious ones. Our goal is to have a constantly useful and professional platform which would be able to help with and satisfy the requirements of our large client base, now reaching out for us from all over the world.
